Memorial: Dr. Roy L. Carlson

Family, friends, colleagues, students, and members of the SFU Archaeology community are invited to attend a memorial gathering in honour of Dr. Roy L. Carlson.

Join us to celebrate the life and legacy of Roy with stories, memories, and good company.

The memorial will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby Campus, Room SWH 10081 (near the Archaeology Department main office and Museum).

A reception will be held both before and after the memorial at the Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology and the adjacent atrium area, providing an opportunity for attendees to connect, share memories, and celebrate Roy's life and legacy.

All who knew Roy—friends, family, colleagues, and former students—are welcome to attend.
