Volunteer opportunity - Community Scientist Initiative, TELUS World of Science, Vancouver, BC
Science World’s Community Scientist Initiative (CSI) is once again looking for scientists, researchers and other science-based professionals with a keen interest in engaging with public audiences, to become science communicators and ambassadors. This initiative is designed to engage community volunteers and partners with deep expertise in science and technology in providing regular opportunities for our visitors to explore the research and work of local passionate professionals.
I have attached the current recruitment poster and have included a link to the full description of the opportunity below. Please share this information with any graduate students, colleagues, associations or clubs you think may be appropriate and interested in learning more about this opportunity.
We are recruiting scientists and researchers to participate in 2 professional engagement workshops in the end of April and will have another intake planned for the fall of 2019. I am happy to provide more detail about the workshop series format and timing should anyone require it.
Thank you for passing this exciting opportunity along.
