Temagami First Nation has exciting opportunities available for students throughout the summer of 2019. These positions will provide students with valuable experience needed for employment, following their schooling. These positions are funded through the Federal Summer Experience Program through Employment and Social Development Canada.The positions. Positions available are:
Health Support Worker x 3 (post-secondary education required)
Daycare Support Worker x 2 (one post-secondary, one secondary)
Community Infrastructure Workers x 3 (one post-secondary and two secondary)
Band Office Administration Support Worker (open to post-secondary and secondary students)
Crew Leaders Ranger Program Worker (open to post-secondary students)
Period: 8 weeks in duration
Work: Monday – Friday (7 hours/day; 35 hours/week)
Wage: Vary depending on position and qualifications
To be eligible, students must:
o Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment;
o Have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year;
o Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Act of Canada
o Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations
