SFU Southeast Asian Research Initiative Ice-breaker

About this event

Hosted by the Southeast Asian Research Initiative of the SFU School for International Studies (SIS), the first of its kind at the university, this ice breaker event aims to bring those pursuing, or are simply interested in, Southeast Asian studies together in an informal meet-and-greet. This ice breaker will allow attendees and those interested in this student-led initiative to learn more about each other, exchange research interests, and familiarize themselves with the organization’s objectives and future plans.

Through informal discussion and conversation, the event will also help attendees get to know the organizers, International Studies student Phone Min Thant and Assoicate Professor Darren Byler, and offer their thoughts on the directions the initiative should take in the near future.
