Challenges Minority Groups Face When Running for Office
On September 22nd, 2020, CBC Radio One interviewed Sanjay Jeram about the challenges minority groups face when running for political office.
In comparison to other countries, Jeram said, "Canada still ranks quite low when it comes to representing different types of marginalized groups. When we specifically look at women, we fare much worse than many countries."
He also discussed solutions that have been proposed for the underrepresentation of minorities in Canadian politics.
