Services & Fees
User fees will be billed at the end of every semester. Users who exceed their scheduled appointment time will be charged for the extra time at the rate of their user category. Questions or disputes about billing charges should be directed to the Head of the Flow Cytometry Lab.
Frequent user discount: Any SFU lab that spends >$3,000 for flow cytometry analysis and/or sorting in a semester will be billed at 60% for every additional dollar.

* Unassisted use is available to trained SFU users who have demonstrated competency and expect to perform at least 4 analyses and/or sorts per month, or at least 12 analyses and/or sorts over the course of a single semester.
** Assisted use must be arranged with Flow Cytometry Lab staff prior to booking.
Note that the indicated training fees apply to the initial training session(s) required for independent use. Additional training or retraining may be subject to additional fees. FlowJo analysis assistance is on-site only.

Analysis and sorting rates for non-SFU users apply regardless of whether the user operates the instrument independently or requires routine staff assistance during the session. Independent instrument use is permitted only for users who have completed the required training and demonstrated competency.
