Message from the President
Today, I am sharing personal news: I have recently been diagnosed with cancer. I am receiving excellent medical care, and I feel well, supported by my partner, family, and close friends.
It is with deep regret that I share that I have decided to step down from my role as President and Vice-Chancellor, effective December 31, 2026.
This decision has not been made lightly. After considerable reflection, and in consultation with my physicians and family, I have concluded that it is best for me to focus fully on my health and well-being. While stepping away from a role I care about so deeply is difficult, I believe this is the right decision for me and my family at this time.
You will hear more from our Board Chair about next steps in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I remain deeply grateful for this community and for the work we continue to do together in service of this remarkable institution.
