SFU has begun a search for the role of vice-president, finance and administration (VPFA).
About the position and portfolio
Reporting to the president and serving as a key member of the executive team, the VPFA employs a collegial, collaborative style of decision making over financial and non-academic administrative services in strong support of the academic mission of the university. The VPFA directs day-to-day aspects of university operations through direct reports and staff across diverse departments such as Finance, Facilities and Campus Planning, IT Services, Information Security, Safety and Risk Services and Campus Services. This position is currently held by interim VPFA Karamjeet Heer.
About the search process
The search process is being led by executive search firm Boyden. A search committee has been established as per university policy GP 29 and you can see the full membership of the search committee here.
The committee is currently engaging in a robust consultation to gather feedback from the SFU community. You are invited to participate in this important process by sharing what experience, leadership and personal qualities you feel are important in selecting the next VPFA. Your input will help shape the position description and candidate profile, a document that will be used in the recruitment and evaluation of candidates.

- As previously shared in Campus Connections, a community forum will be held via Zoom on June 3. Please register here using your SFU email address.

- Share your feedback by taking our survey before June 14.
